Cancellation Policy
Last updated 1 Jun 2024
Because Manomas is a membership platform and not a payment processor, cancellations for cooking services are handled directly between families and providers.
1. Manomas's role
Manomas provides the tools to request, accept, and manage bookings, but does not process payment or hold funds for any booking.
As a result, Manomas does not issue refunds, charge cancellation fees, or mediate cancellation disputes for cooking services.
2. Cancelling before acceptance
A family may cancel or edit a booking request at any time before a provider accepts it, directly within the Manomas dashboard.
3. Cancelling after acceptance
Once a provider has accepted a booking, either party may cancel, but any costs, notice period, or fees related to a late cancellation should be agreed between the family and provider directly — ideally before the booking is confirmed.
We encourage both parties to discuss and agree cancellation terms (such as notice periods) as part of confirming booking details.
4. Provider cancellations
Providers who cancel confirmed bookings frequently or without reasonable notice may have their membership reviewed by our team.
5. No-shows and disputes
Manomas is not able to resolve financial disputes arising from a booking, since payment is arranged directly between the parties. We recommend confirming key details in writing (through Manomas messaging) ahead of time.
6. Reporting concerns
If a cancellation or no-show involved a serious safety or conduct issue, please report it to our team so we can review the provider's or family's account.
